What services do we offer?
-
Tree pruning is the careful removal of selected branches to improve tree health, safety and appearance; it reduces the risk of branch failure, encourages strong structural growth, mitigates disease spread and allows better light and air penetration through the canopy. Proper pruning follows species-specific practices and timing—such as avoiding heavy cuts during peak sap flow—and uses correct techniques like making clean cuts at the branch collar to promote rapid wound closure.
-
Arboricultural tree removal is the safe, controlled dismantling of a tree by qualified arborists. It begins with a professional assessment of the tree’s condition, surrounding hazards, and the safest removal method. Arborists use specialised techniques such as climbing, rigging, EWPs, or cranes to remove the tree in sections without damaging nearby structures or vegetation.
-
Hazardous tree management is the process of identifying, assessing, and safely addressing trees that pose a risk to people, property, or infrastructure. Qualified arborists inspect the tree for structural defects, disease, storm damage, instability, or interference with utilities. Once hazards are confirmed, a management plan is created that may include pruning, stabilisation, or full removal.
-
Tree Management Plans typically include:
Tree inventory — species, size, age, condition
Risk assessment — structural defects, hazards, proximity to assets
Maintenance recommendations — pruning, health treatments, monitoring
Removal or retention decisions — based on safety, health, and site needs
Protection measures — especially during construction or land development
Ongoing monitoring schedule — ensuring trees remain safe and healthy over time

At TK Tree Services, we provide professional wildlife rescue support during all tree‑work operations. If animals are found, we safely pause work and coordinate with licensed wildlife carers to ensure they are protected and relocated appropriately.
-

Tree Pruning
Certain smaller species like this Grevillea should be pruned lightly each year after flowering. This tree is priced at $440 per annum, as well as some extra small hedges.
The Eucalyptus below has been pruned to an Australian arboricultural standard. This wound has more chances of healing over and sealing.
Larger Gum trees can be time consuming to prune and can cost between $990 - $2000 or more but is always best to assess first.
The small stuff
As Arborist we are trained in the most complex and dangerous jobs, and we have the equipment to back us up. But even so we have rescued a lot of Koalas and pruned a lot of hedges, these jobs don’t require much and there’s always an apprentice that needs to start somewhere.
So these jobs are priced between $440 - $880 typically.
This may sometimes be more than the average but there will always be good results and there’s always time to negotiate.
Hazardous trees
A hazardous tree is simple terms is a large tree about to collapse or fall onto a structure and potentially cause harm to people, they considered an imminent risk and must be dealt with straight away. We try to avoid climbing these as much as possible making it difficult to remove.
Prices will range from $5000 - $20,000 or more depending on the circumstances.
